WHAT ARE
THE CARE GUIDELINES?

We disinfect all brushes after every event. Our sponges are clean and sanitized and use only 1 sponge per kid. Our paints have preservatives that inhibit bacterial growth. We disinfect our hands using hand sanitizer.. Our kits are sanitized after each event.

HOW CAN WE REMOVE THE PAINT?

Simply Wipe away most of the paint with a wet paper towel or wipe and use mild soap with warm water (We’d recommend using a dab of body soap) and gently wipe with a soft face cloth or microfiber cloth.  It's also helpful to use a Q-tip with an eye-makeup remover for any stubborn dark/black color around the eyes. Note that People with lighter skin tones or dry skin are more prone to staining.  To avoid this, do not keep face paint on overnight or for long periods of time.  Any leftover pigmentation should only last up to a few hours.

DO YOU CHARGE A TRAVEL FEE?

There are no travel fees, as long as you are within 40 miles or 40-50 min of zip code 20906. Outside of this distance will incur a travel fee and require a 90 min to 2h minimum booking depending on location. Holiday rates are slightly higher.

FOR HOW LONG SHOULD WE BOOK YOU?

We recommend booking us according to the number of children you are expecting at your event. When booking an artist, please be aware that it takes time to create designs. While we do offer all sizes of designs and some quicker than others, they all take at least a few minutes each. We can paint approximately 12-15 faces within an hour for birthdays with combined designs/larger selections and 17-20 for large events with quicker designs/ smaller selections. Each person is different and some people, especially little people, require a little more "wiggle time" than others. Please allow enough time for the artists to serve your guests. We don't like leaving when our work was not finished, but we may have prior commitments and won't always be able to extend time on site.

CAN A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND HELP PAINT FACES?

We would have to say no. Due to the nature of our business, there are strict hygiene guidelines to follow. We only use cosmetic-grade face paints, and my brushes are regularly washed and dipped in alcohol and specific soap to prevent the spread of bacteria. We do not allow others to use our kit to ensure that these safety guidelines are followed. All these precautions help keep your guests safe and healthy. These are the rules we follow, and we hope you understand. If the crowd is large inquired about additional services or stencil designs.

WHAT TYPE OF PAINT DO YOU USE?

The face paints we used are safe, non-toxic, FDA-compliant, and water-based -- specially formulated for use on any skin (kids or adults). In our kits, we have FUSION, TAG, FAB, and Diamond FX Brands.

WE USE ONLY COSMETIC- GRADE, FDA-COMPLIANT FACE AND BODY PAINT

Please be advised that acrylic paint and tempera paints are non-toxic and safe for children to use as crafts but ARE NOT SAFE TO BE USED ON THE SKIN. Craft, acrylic, and other “non-toxic” paint may contain nickels as well as other ingredients, which can cause severe allergic reactions in some individuals. Also, these paints are hard to remove from the skin, often causing irritation just by the removal of them. We only use FDA-compliant paint.

WHAT SHOULD WE PROVIDE?

For any outdoor events during the warm seasons, we ask to provide shelter. This is a must if there are no trees or shaded areas. Please, do not let the artist burn under the sunlight. During the cold season, we ask for an outdoor heater if the temperature is under 50 degrees Fahrenheit.  We also ask if you can provide a table and sometimes chairs to allow quick set up. The artist brings all the material which includes face paint, balloons, glitter, etc.

HOW LONG DOES EACH FACE TAKE TO BE PAINTED?

Full faces or elaborate designs usually take 6-8 minutes depending on complexity while quicker standard designs will take 2-4 minutes on average. Please note that check art often takes longer because there are more detailed, smaller does not mean faster with face painting.  Private sessions can take 25-30 min per person depending on the design.

WHAT DESIGNS DO YOU OFFER?

For face painting: your guests can choose from our large board selection, which includes full face, arm, and cheek art designs. We are also open to new designs when the event is not too busy and when there is enough time to cover every guest.  For balloon twisting: we provide a board with samples from simple one-balloon designs to more complex designs that use more than 2 balloons. Again, when there is enough time, we can customize our artist on site. Custom designs are offered for small theme parties and events at no extra charge. At large corporate event, we can also provide custom stencil if they want to include a logo, a mascot, a team at an extra cost.

WE DESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO PAINT EVERYONE

In order to reduce the risk of disease spread, persons who are sick, have the flu, are coughing, have head lice, or have skin infections WILL NOT be painted. Please do not allow your child(ren) to be painted if they are ill to avoid spreading any contamination to other guests.

WHAT ABOUT GLITTER AND AIRBRUSH TEMPORARY TATTOOS?

Glitter tattoo is waterproof but becomes weak when subject to prolonged time in water (Swimming or taking a shower) so after such activities, pat dry the area, don't scrub or scratch with a towel (friction shortens the lifespan of your tattoo). They have special cosmetic glitter affixed to a tattoo using a skin-safe adhesive. They last 4 days or longer and are water-resistant. Airbrush tattoos are also water-resistant and applied using an air compressor, stencils, and airbrush spray guns. They often last 4-7 days or even longer if well taken care of.

HOW CAN WE REMOVE A GLITTER TATTOO?

Your glitter/airbrush temporary tattoo should fade off over time. If you wish to remove it earlier, soak it in water for a few minutes first, then apply baby oil or make-up remover (isopropyl alcohol works too but can be harsher on the skin).  Massage the oil over the glitter tattoo until it breaks down the glue.  Then gently exfoliate/rub with a damp cloth to remove the remainder of the glue and glitter.

HOW CAN WE REMOVE AN AIRBRUSH TATTOO?

Your Airbrush tattoo is waterproof and should last 3-7 days and usually fades over time. If you choose to remove it earlier; you can rub it gently with alcohol and baby oil. Any residue should fade over time.
